With coach Jim McLaughlin stepping down, the Homewood-Flossmoor job will be a coveted, sought-after position. But it wasn't the biggest coaching opening this year. Here is a breakdown of the best high school basketball coaching jobs that opened up this spring.

Andre Andre Hogan scored 26 points on Wednesday to lead Harlan to a 69-65 CPS playoff win over Kenwood. Two of Hogan's teammates signed letters of intent to play college football earlier in the day.
Josh Stamps scored a game-high 24 points, and despite star center Cliff Alexander constantly facing triple teams, No. 1 Curie rolled to a 76-59 Red-Central victory against host Kenwood on Monday. Alexander finished with 14 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks.
Xavier Edwards hit a free throw with 2.4 second remaining to help cap a rally from 17 points down and give Kenwood a 77-76 victory against Marshall on Saturday in the On the Court for Cancer Shootout at Orr.
