Andrew scored five consecutive goals in the second half to help it defeat Lincoln-Way Central 7-2 in a Lincoln-Way Central semifinal. Lincoln-Way East rolled over Lincoln-Way North 11-3 in the other semi.
It was the end of her junior season, and Lincoln-Way Central’s Jana Mudrock briefly talked with her coach Liz Karales. A state-qualifying doubles player for two straight seasons, Mudrock was about to switch things up.
Lincoln-Way Co-op's Caleb Hong is the only Southland gymnast to qualify for the all-around at the state finals on Friday, which will be hosted by Hinsdale Central after spending the last five years at Lincoln-Way East.

Carly Souder went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs as host Lincoln-Way West solidified its grip on first place in the SouthWest Suburban Red with a 5-2 victory over crosstown rival Lincoln-Way Central on Monday afternoon in New Lenox.
