SOUTH SUBURBAN RED

Outlook: Eisenhower is coming off its first conference championship since 1985, but will be hard-pressed to repeat. Richards has all the pieces in place to reclaim the title.

Top five players Ht. Wt. Yr.
QB Tommy Mister, Richards 6-1 185 Jr.
OL Dion Wells, Eisenhower, 6-2 317 Sr.
DL Jesse Gonzalez, Eisenhower 6-3 225 Sr.
WR Londell Lee, Shepard 6-1 170 Sr.
WR Jacquet McClendon, Ever. Pk. 6-2 190 Jr.

Quote: “We have a lot of players that got great experience last year. The young excuse is out the window. [A] 6-5 [record] and out in the second round is not good enough around here.” — Richards coach Tony Sheehan.

Predicted finish: Richards, Eisenhower, Shepard, Evergreen Park, Argo, Reavis, Oak Lawn.
