Geri Aliaj, Ridgewood rough up Crossroads in nonconference tilt

Ridgewood picked up its second win in three weeks Friday, beating nonconference foe Crossroads 49-8 in Norridge.

The Rebels (2-5) racked up 505 yards of total offense, reaching the end zone seven times. Quarterback Geri Aliaj was 13 of 16 for 257 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Sam Karim had six carries for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Nathan Munoz led the Ridgewood defense with five tackles and a sack while Jakub Jarosz picked up four tackles.

The Rebels resume conference action on Oct. 18 when they play host to Glenbard South. The Raiders improved to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the Metro Suburban by beating Fenton 42-14 Friday.
