Romeoville completed a turnaround from an 0-9 season a year ago to a playoff team this year after the Spartans defeated host Minooka (3-6, 2-5) in Southwest Prairie Conference action.
Spartan senior defensive end Anthony Love, who forced two fumbles on the night, recovered Indians' quarterback Jacob Czerniakowski's fumble at the Romeoville 48. Two plays later, the Spartans scored to make it 20-7.
Romeoville junior quarterback Kelvin Jones threw three touchdown passes and rushed for one touchdown. He threw for 316 yards in the first half and 349 yards for the game. He threw touchdown passes of 75 and 51 yards to junior receiver Chuck Hunter.

Hunter caught eight passes for 262 yards. Minooka running back Nate Gunn rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
"We had our backs against the wall. We had to win out to get in. We really came together these last two weeks with solid performances. We're playing good football, and we're excited to find out who we play," Romeoville Coach Jeff Kuna said.
