PLAYERS TO WATCH
Joshua Land, Hubbard — The 5-foot-7 freshman has been Hubbard’s top offensive weapon this season, rushing for 984 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also returns kickoffs and punts, and has tallied 26 tackles and two interceptions defensively.
Jacquelle Smith, Hubbard — The junior quarterback completed 10-of-17 passes for 135 yards and a touchdown against Harlan Oct. 24. He has 12 total touchdowns on the season.
Hub Cirame, Lake Forest — The senior running back had two touchdowns on the ground and one through the air against Warren Friday, giving him 25 total (19 rushing and six receiving) for the season.
Regis Durbin, Lake Forest — The senior quarterback finished with 157 yards passing against Warren, scoring a touchdown with both his arm and his feet.
Hubbard’s front seven will be tested against the Scouts. Cirame carried the ball 26 times for 148 yards against Warren, and Lake Forest totaled 257 yards on the ground for the game.
ON THE OTHER SIDELINE
Land suffered an ankle injury against Harlan that forced him to leave the game. If he can’t return against Lake Forest, senior Darion Henderson will have to take on a bigger role out of the backfield for Hubbard.
Lake Forest has scored 30 or more points in all seven wins this season. Hubbard has reached the 30-point mark five times.
