“I’m happy with how we played. Lakes has beaten us twice in the last two years. Even more than that, we wanted to prove to ourselves that we are ready to come out and compete this year by having a good showing in our first game. It’s beneficial for us to come up to Mundelein for this tournament because of the teams we see. As we go through the playoffs later in the season, we’ll see teams from up here ... the style of play, the officiating. It’s all different from the city.” — Uplift coach David Taylor
