Bremen Co-op has developed into one of the Southland’s most consistent programs over the last several years. The Red Jaguars have been knocking on the door, but never have broken through to win a sectional title and advance to state. They’re hoping this is the year that changes.
“We’re a big underdog team this year,” senior Hannah Schultz said. “We think it’s going to be a great year and we’re going to surprise a lot of people.”
Schultz is a powerful player and one of the toughest scorers in the state to try to stop. Other returning starters, including Sarah Minnich, Jacky Zuniga and Leah Wood, should complement Schultz and are capable of stepping up and scoring when defenses key in on Schultz.
Melissa Barrios adds plenty of experience in goal.
The Red Jaguars (8-2) captured the Bremen Tournament championship over the weekend.
