The Oak Park-River Forest Huskies held off Marian Catholic in a 14-7 IHSWLA sectional final win Wednesday in Hinsdale behind top goal scorers Caitlin Wheeler and Cori Conley.

OPRF got on the board within the first minute of the game and maintained its dominance, limiting the Spartans to just one goal through 12 minutes and just five at the end of the first half.

Wheeler and Colney each tallied a hat trick 15 minutes into the game. Wheeler finished with a total of six goals and Colney had five.

Natalie Conti scored two goals and Catie Houle also scored for the Huskies. Six of Marian Catholic's seven goals were scored by Celeste Friel, the seventh from Breeana Olson.

"We started off fast in the beginning and once we had control we got smart with the ball. We've done a pretty good job at controlling the midfield which helped us control the game." — Conley
