York won its 12th consecutive West Suburban Conference title, piling up 149.2 to Downers North's 106, in coach Stan Reddel's last conference meet. Reddel is retiring after this season.
After coughing up a four-goal lead in the second half, York fought back and Wil Hubert scored a goal with 19 seconds left in the second overtime to seal a 10-9 victory for the Dukes on Wednesday.
After Naperville Central erased a five-run deficit to win 9-8 over York in the first game of a doubleheader, York catcher Abby Solem launched two home runs and had six RBI in the Dukes’ 11-4 win in the nightcap.
